Court Sends Morro Back To Kuje Prison
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Wednesday sent former Minister of Interior, Abba Moro back to Kuje prison, having adjourned the consideration of his application for bail till tomorrow, Thursday.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, had on Monday arraigned Moro alongside a former Director in the Ministry, F.O. Alayebami and former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Anastasia Daniel Nwobia on an 11 count charge bordering on complicity in a N676m immigration recruitment scam.
The presiding judge, Justice Anwuli Chikere had, during the last sitting of the court, remanded Moro in Prison pending the consideration of his application for bail, while the 2nd defendant, Mrs. Anastasia Daniel-Nwobia, was granted administrative bail on the ground that she is currently nursing a baby. The case was then adjourned to today, Wednesday.
In her ruling on Wednesday, Justice Chekere held that Moro and the former Deputy Director in the Ministry, F.O.Alayebami be sent back to Kuje prison while Daniel-Nwobia remain on the administrative bail the court earlier granted her.

There should be a law in Abuja against reckless driving! Any motorist that destroys public property in an accident must be jailed, whether dead or alive! if dead, his relation must go to prison without trial!
Haba! speeding at 120/hr within populated city is a crime against humanity!!
Why are we so lawless in this country! we are in dare need of orderliness in Nigeria! Goosh!
Yesterday, a car was suspended on a streetlight pole, who will pay the damages? why are we destroying the things that beautify our city? we destroy walkways, landscapes, green areas, sign posts, street lights, traffic lights etc! even Zebra cross are mare lines on the road. mtchewwww.
Abuja with a beautiful road network should be used to establish traffic laws in Nigeria. com'on people, its not rocket science! - Online Reporter

Deadly Punch Lands NURTW Ticketing Official In Morgue
The Benue State-born Okada rider, who gave his name as Igor Jabless, allegedly dealt Sodiq the deadly punch at about 7.30a.m. over payment for a ticket issued by the deceased.
The Nigerian Tribune learnt that Jabless told Sodiq that he was not ready to pay because he belonged to the Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle Owners and Riders’ Association of Nigeria (ACOMMORAN).
But there were different versions of the incident that led to Sodiq’s death, as some eyewitnesses said that Jabless did not return any of the jabs thrown at him by the deceased, because of the way NURTW officials were dreaded by drivers and Okada operators.
“In the process of throwing punches at the Okada rider, the NURTW official’s cap fell off.
As he bent to pick it, he just slumped,” a witness said.
However, another version of the story had it that the refusal of the Okada rider to pay for the ticket given to him led to an argument which made the deceased to hit him severally.
According to the witness, “when the fight between Sodiq and Jabless ,started, Sodiq had an upper hand, as he dealt the okada rider several blows. Jabless succeeded in returning a punch, but Sodiq slumped immediately it landed on him.”
The Nigerian Tribune further gathered that Sodiq was rushed to a nearby private hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO),in Oyo State, Adekunle Ajisebutu, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, confirmed the story, saying that the suspect had been arrested while the remains of the deceased had been deposited in the mortuary at State Hospital, Ring Road, Ibadan.
Ajisebutu added that the state Commissioner of Police, Leye Oyebade, had directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Iyaganku for investigations.
