It’s Season Of Love!! Which Is The Best For Lovers Among These Four Pictures? (See Photo)

Love
It’s season of love. Which is the best?

EPL: Chelsea are back with gusto

SUREBTREND reviews the round 26 of the EPL. The Champions are BACK! With a comprehensive thrashing of hapless Newcastle and the beleaguered Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal plunged into further crisis with a defeat at lowly Sunderland.
Ighalo’s Watford climbed to eighth and with a fighting chance of European football while the resurgent Southampton registered another victory without conceding a goal.

The Hammers came back from the brink to snatch a late draw – thanks to the introduction of Victor Moses and Adebayor’s first goal was unable to rescue the goal-shy Palace.
Ryan Giggs and Van Gaal looks on
Sunderland 2-1 Manchester United
Manchester United lose more ground on the top four, plunging their beleaguered manager Louis van Gaal deeper into crisis. This United side looked anything but a top four side despite all the millions spent.
The home team came flying out of the box and quickly converted the first opportunity that came their way.  Wahla Khazri opened the scoring with a well taken free-kick from over 25 yards that eluded everyone to slot home.
United enjoyed most of the possession in the first half without making any in-roads. Martial eventually struck the equalizer in the 39th minute with a delightful chip over Mannone after he parried his save from Mata to him.
Sunderland fully deserved the victory on their second-half performance alone, courtesy of a firm header by Lamine Kone who proved what all the fuss was all about over his on and off January transfer saga. Khazri whipped in a fantastic corner into the box with Kone jumping the highest to plant a firm header which De Gea spilled into his own net.
It was a moral boosting and hugely vital victory for the home side to greatly enhance their survival bid  from relegation.
Sadio Mane of Southampton
Swansea 0-1 Southampton
The first half was not the best in terms of quality but a very tight contest with both teams attempts either wayward or blocked.
James Ward-Prowse’s lofted pass 20 minutes before the final whistle gave all the three points to the resurgent Southampton with Shane Long who jumped the highest to steer a strong and precise close-range header past Lukasz Fabrianski, giving him no chance.

Swansea are still entwined with the relegation battle while it is onwards and upwards for the Saints.
Stoke City players celebrates their goals
Bournemouth 1-3 Stoke City
New signing, Gianelli Imbula set the ball rolling with a brilliant shot just outside the box from a rebound, and beyond the reach of Artur Boric.
Ibrahim Affelay doubled the scoring from the edge of the box with a tentative but accurate effort that went inside the right post from a pass by Jonathan Walters.
Joselu gave Stoke an unassailable lead with a close-range header, planted into the left side of the goal from a perfect cross by Shaqiri.
Bournemouth reduced the deficit when Matt Ritchie latched onto Charlie Daniel’s pass. He showed a good awareness inside the box with a first-time strike which went inside the post.
It was a welcomed victory for the away side after recent deep and losses.
Crystal Palace 1-2 Watford
Troy Deeney, Watford’s Captain fantastic stole the show to send the Vicarage road outfit to a dizzy height of eight in the EPL table and a touching distance of Europe.
Watford’s performances are going unnoticed due to Leicester City’s exploits but what they have been able to achieve so far this season borders on unbelievable.
The home side’s fans can at least be relieved to witness one of their strikers register a goal from open play after a long wait when Adebayor finally broke that dock with his first goal for Palace.
Palace could have won this tie on chances created but wasted, only for Watford to inflict a classic smash and grab on the hosts.
Watford opened the scoring from the spot when Deeney was brought down by Jedinac before tucking in the resulting penalty. Adebayor restored parity with a cushioned header, from Wickam’s floated cross.
Deeney’s ninth goal of the season came in the 82th minute from a cross by former Palace midfielder Ben Watson. He had time to take a touch before firing home.

Norwich 2-2 West Ham
Victor Moses turned this match on it’s head with a stunning performance after his introduction as a substitute.
The host must have been dreaming of three points after going two goals ahead, another two points lost in the jaws of victory with Liverpool’s late comeback last week.
Jerome gave the home side the lead when he caught Michail Antonio napping on the ball, advanced 10 yards before curling a the ball unerringly beyond Adrian with his weaker foot. Hoolian’s clip doubled the advantage with a clip past Adrian.

Dmitri Payet turned the ball home from a rebound by Moses before Mark Noble fired delightfully from the edge of the box to restore parity.
Both sides could have won the game but the Hammers will be the happier of the two with a point from the jaws of defeat.
Pedro Rodriguez scored two goals
Chelsea 5-1 Newcastle
The champions are back to their championship winning best in the rout against the hapless Newcastle at Stamford bridge.
Chelsea played with the gusto they are renowned for in their EPL winning season. Despite the huge outlay in the January transfer window Newcastle were made to look a pauper.
It truly was men against boys, the magpies dysfunctionality was a depressing sight to behold that must put the managers tenure into question – a sixth successive away defeat.
Costa seven goals in eight games in the fifth minute set the stall for the rout, Pedro double the tally with a crisply taken shot just outside the area, Willian easily made it three nil from Costa’s pass.
Pedro completed his brace after collecting a lofted pass from Fabregas to dispatch a fault, Traore added the fifth before a pointless Townsend reply.

About 1.2 billion valentine cards purchased yearly — Official

images (11)

Women purchase about 85 per cent of an estimated 1.2 billion valentine cards that are sold worldwide annually, Felicia Bello, the Matron, Landmark University Medical Centre, Omu-Aran, has said.
Ms Bello said this at a health counselling initiative organised for secondary school students in Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara, on Friday.
Quoting statistics from the World Greeting Card Association, Ms Bello said the figure had made Valentine’s Day, the second most popular card exchange celebration after Christmas.
She said that the official card purchase figure for Christmas celebration was an estimated 2.6 billion cards globally.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the counselling activity tagged: “Health Counselling toward Valentine’’ was organised by Landmark University Community Development Impact Initiative (LMUCDII).
No fewer than 150 students participated in the counselling initiative.
Ms Bello said in spite of the fact that Valentine’s Day celebration had transformed into a global celebration of love, many persons, particularly the youth, celebrated the day wrongly.
“Many people are introduced to habits that will destroy their destiny.
“Many young girls from age 10 years to 15 years are defiled on the night of Valentine’s Day, with some of them ending up with HIV or unwanted pregnancy.
“Many are initiated into cultism and other wicked associations — some unknowingly — as such celebrations usually start at odd hours,” she said.
The matron, therefore, cautioned the students to shun all the negative and anti-social aspects of Valentine Day’s celebration.
She urged them to only embrace those positive aspects which had to do with sharing of affection, gifts, food items and even ideas that could enhance their future.
A resource person, Olubunmi Joseph-Fadipe, who presented a paper on “Valentine, Love and God’’, urged the students to always allow God be their guide in their day-to-day activities, particularly on Valentine’s Day.
She bemoaned the fact that most Valentine Day’s celebrations nowadays had negated the original objectives of its innovators, saying that the development was doing more harm than good to the society.
Joseph-Fadipe said: “Today’s Valentine’s Day celebration, especially in this part of the world, has been hijacked by anti-social vices.’’
In his remark, Abiodun Okunola, the Chairman of LMUCDII, said the counselling activity was aimed at sensitising the students to the need to eschew ungodly habits in their celebration of Valentine’s Day.
He said that the institution, through the initiative, had made donations to orphanages, while looking at practical ways of making agriculture more attractive to the youth, in partnership with Omu-Aran Youth Forum.
“It is our belief that with the education and information which the students were able to garner from the counselling, they would be able to jealously safeguard their future,” Mr. Okunola said.
Speaking, Oluwatomisin Jegede, a student of Landmark University Secondary School, Omu-Aran, said the counselling activity had greatly enhanced her knowledge on the positive and negative aspects of the Valentine’s Day celebration.
The schools which participated in the programme include Omu-Aran High School; Government Secondary School, Omu-Aran; Government Christian College, Omu-Aran; Victory Model College; Aperan Comprehensive College and Ofe-Aran Commercial College.

Donald Trump and Ted Cruz have clashed ahead of a debate between the remaining Republican contenders for president.
Mr Trump accused Mr Cruz of negative campaigning and "cheating" and threatened to sue him "for not being a natural born citizen".
Mr Cruz condemned the "amazing torrent of insults and obscenities that come out of [Trump's] mouth".
The two lead the Republican field. Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are contesting the Democratic ticket.
So far, Mr Cruz has won the Iowa caucus while Mr Trump came first in the New Hampshire primary on 9 February.
The next contest will be the South Carolina primary on 20 February.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and former Hewlett Packard executive Carly Fiorina dropped out of the race after disappointing performances in New Hampshire.
Florida Senator Marco Rubio, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, Ohio Governor John Kasich and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush are still in the race and will be at Saturday's debate.
Mr Cruz released a television advertisement before Saturday's debate condemning Mr Trump's "pattern of sleaze", which seems to have prompted Mr Trump's threat of legal action.
Mr Trump has previously accused Mr Cruz of fraud and had called for the Iowa caucuses to be restaged.
He has also attacked Mr Cruz over his birth in Canada.
Mr Cruz has previously said there is "zero chance" of a lawsuit succeeding because the constitution's definition of "natural born citizens" included people born to an American parent.
Mr Cruz was born in Calgary to an American mother and a Cuban father.
At a rally last Monday, Mr Trump repeated an audience member's vulgar remark about Mr Cruz, leading many to criticise him.

No funds to commence recruitment for the Nigeria Police Force

Solomon Arase, inspector general of the Nigeria Police Force
Solomon Arase, the inspector general of the Nigeria Police Force, met security stakeholders in Akure, Ondo state, on Friday. At the meeting, he said the police are lacking finance to provide training, welfare and salaries of recruits.
Arase said he was committed to ensure the welfare of the officers. Since he assumed office eight months ago, 400 two-bedroom flats have been built for officers, 325 children of police officers have been given scholarships, and about 36,000 inspectors have been promoted.
Appealing to police personnel, Arase prompted them to respect and cooperate with security stakeholders to guarantee security of lives and property.
“Our officers should respect the traditional rulers, religious leaders, transport workers and other groups to enable them do their job professionally,” Arase said, “They should communicate with them to get useful information to curb crime in the society”.
Thus, the inspector general urged the public to give timely and useful information to the police and divulge information on suspicious persons to curb kidnapping occurrences.
Arase also spoke on constant conflicts between farmers and herdsmen, stressing that most of the herdsmen involved in such rift were not Nigerians but foreigners who entered the country through porous borders.

Several dead in 50-vehicle Pennsylvania pile-up

A number of people have died in a motorway pile-up involving more than 50 vehicles in Pennsylvania, authorities say.
The crash, 120km (75miles) north-west of Philadelphia, left trucks and cars strewn across three lanes of traffic and the central reservation.
The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency said 40 people had been taken to hospital and 70 to a temporary shelter.
Drivers have been urged to use caution amid cold weather and drifting snow.
A spokeswoman for Penn State Hershey Medical Center said three patients had been brought in in a critical condition, three more with moderate to severe injuries and four with minor injuries.
Agency spokesman Cory Angell said drifting snow had been reported in the area of the crash, which took place on the eastern carriageway of Interstate 78 near the town of Bethel Township.
Officials have warned people in the north-eastern US to stay indoors during what the National Weather Service described as "life-threatening temperatures".
