FIFA elections: NFF decides on candidate to support

The FIFA elections will be holding this Friday and the NFF has set sight on one of the candidates who is hoping to replace Sepp Blatter. NFF president Amaju Pinnick with outgoing FIFA president Sepp Blatter According to Africanfootball.com, the NFF has sets its sights on supporting CAF choice Salman Al Khalifa, the President of the Asian Football Confederation since 2 May 2013. Other candidates are UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino, Prince Ali bin Al Hussein from Jordan, ex-FIFA chief Jerome Champagne and South Africa’s Tokyo Sexwale.Some executive members of the NFF, revealed that the body would not go against CAF’s choice candidate. NFF president Amaju Pinnick would not “not want to rock the boat” due to the excellent relationship he has with FIFA acting president Issa Hayatou. The elections would be held at the FIFA headquarters in Switzerland on Friday, 25th of February 2016.
