Arakangudu buried amidst tears, burial plans released

The remains of late veteran actor Sikiru Adeshina popularly known as Arakangudu has been laid to rest according to Islamic conjunction.

The last prayer on the corpse was said by Chief Imam of Osogbo land at Oja Oba before he was buried at his family compound located behind Mubarak central mosque, Ile Gegele, Osogbo, Osun state.
Notable artists at the burial are Osun State Arts Forum. Others include Hon Rotimi Makinde, Monsuru Obadina Fala, Toyin Adegbola, Adebayo Tijani, Muideen Oladapo Lala, Lukmon Raji, Ajala Jalingo, Bobo B, Sokoti, Abeni Agbon, Dodo Ede, Tunde Amoke, Baba Tafa, Baba Olofa Ina, Ogunjinmi, Jinadu Ewele, Bukky Lawal. Iya Oko Bournvita and other notable Nigerians like Alhaji Fatai Akinade Akinbade (former secretary to Osun state government) and hosts of others.

Plans have been put in place by his colleagues to give him a befitting burial. According to the Arakangudu burial committee and members of Osun state arts forum, there will be a candle light procession on Tuesday, February 16 from Ile Gegere behind Mubarak central mosque, Plantation, Osogbo from 5 pm till 8 pm. A Fridau prayer by 9 am on Wednesday, February 17 at the same address after which there will be an Artists Night.

Meanwhile, another Nollywood actor is critically ill and is being hospitalised at the University Teaching Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo state.
