Ogun state born veteran artists visit Sen Amosun

 leads other Ogun state born actors on a courtesy visit to Ogun state governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun under the platform of Ogun
Indigenes Entertainment Professional Forum on Wednesday, February 10 in Abeokuta.

The governor promised to work with members of the group towards developing the future generation of artistes in Nigeria. He also challenged the icons in the industry to come up with good and laudable ideas.
Amosun disclosed that Ogun state government is open
 to ideas that will develop the arts like film villages and
 major studio development in the state. The governor
used the occasion to thank the entertainment industry
for their support and active participation in activities
marking the just celebrated 40th anniversary of the
 creation of Ogun State.

In their various remarks, some of the icons who spoke
 at the meeting commended the governor for his
support and love for the entertainment industry.
 They also spoke about their plans to set up film
Institutes and Center for Creative Arts Development
 among others.

Veteran film maker Tunde Kelani while speaking on
 the establishment of the Film Institute, said: “Such
 projects are important in order to ensure that 
the icons are able to pass on their skills to the
 next generation”.
