Portuguese club signs Usman Mohammed
Super Eagles attacking midfielder, Usman Mohammed, has joined Portugal’s top tier division side, Clube Desportivo Nacional known as Nacional da Madeira on a two-year contract.
Mohammed played for the demoted FC Taraba in the 2014/15 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, supersport.com reports.
The midfielder said he will work hard to bring added value to the side and justify the confidence reposed in him by club officials.
“I have signed a two-year contract with Portugal’s Primeira Liga, Nacional da Madeira. So I will be appearing in the club white and black stripes colours.
“It’s a dream come true for me to further my football career in Europe. I’m really happy with the development.
“I’m satisfied with the package and will do my very best to justify the side’s confidence in me.
“Madeira is a different club operating in a different environment. I know the challenge will be tough but by God’s grace and with hard work I will succeed,” Mohammed told supersport.com.
